Unpaid Wages & Overtime
If you work more than 40 hours in a week, chances are you are entitled to overtime - even if your employer says you are a management or 'salaried' employee. Your right to overtime pay is determined by federal and state law and not by what your employer calls you.
If you are cheated out of your wages or overtime, you may be entitled to twice the amount you were cheated and your employer may also have to pay all your attorney fees on top of that.
Abusive Debt Collectors
It is against the law for debt collectors to harass or abuse you. They are also not supposed to discuss your debts with your employer or anyone else. If they break the law, you may be entitled to $1,000 in damages and they may have to pay all your attorney fees on top of that.
